Stable Connections Therapy

Mental Health Counseling

I offer therapy to individuals seeking to grow and break free from unhelpful patterns that leave them feeling stuck. Growth is a deeply personal process, unique to each person, and often difficult to define. I believe meaningful growth happens through genuine connections and support on the journey of healing and self-exploration. The key to change lies in approaching yourself with curiosity, self-compassion, and acceptance of who you are in the present, free from judgment. I value authentic, deeper connections over small talk and enjoy engaging with people from diverse political, religious, and non-religious backgrounds. I bring curiosity, authenticity, and humility to each session, creating an environment where clients feel understood and empowered.

I also believe in the therapeutic power of humor—when appropriate, laughter can reduce tension and provide a balance between the light and heavy moments in therapy. In my practice, I tailor my approach to each client, drawing from various therapeutic frameworks. I am Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) informed and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed. I recognize that the therapeutic relationship is central to the healing process. While my focus is on the present, I acknowledge the influence of past experiences to help clients gain insight and move forward.

About Me

My name is Sharon Fromm, MS, LMHCA, and I am an individual counselor based in Bellingham, WA. Since my teenage years, I’ve recognized my natural ability to connect with others and foster meaningful, lasting relationships. Supporting friends and family through challenging times and celebrating their successes has always been deeply fulfilling for me. Listening to people’s stories, experiences, and life lessons is a passion of mine. As someone who is also neurodivergent, my passion lies in helping those who have often felt uniquely different

My appreciation for the healing power of animals, especially horses, began early in life and continues to influence my work today. Before pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Central Washington University, I spent five years teaching horseback riding, further deepening my understanding of the therapeutic connection between humans and animals.

  • You are incredibly brave for taking this step!

The first 2 sessions will be like a casual interview where I ask you questions to get to know you, your background, and your story. The first few sessions are also for you to get to know me as a counselor and to see if we are a good fit.

I tend to run my sessions unstructured because I find it more organic. I’ll ask a lot of questions that can increase insight, self- exploration, and may lead to a deeper understanding of oneself. I can also bring in tangible activities such as Value Card Sorts in order to spark conversation.

  • This is a hard question to answer because it depends on the individual, their goals, and how often the person is coming to therapy.

I like to think of therapy as a 2-way street. Meaning, how long it takes to feel improvement depends on the level of commitment and engagement from the client as well as the therapist or counselor.
